Mary daughter of John Kilpin Victualler was bapt August 8.th ....Though the Rector of this parish at the time of Mary's baptism & burial was very meticulous in noting both parents of the child, in Mary's case only her father's name is recorded. The reason for this is unclear, particularly, as the Rector was equally meticulous in recording children born out of wedlock, and consequently, her mother may not have been Susannah.
