John Bancroft (1679-1749) |
John Bancroft
|
In the
Westfield town records it is noted that in July 1731, a John Bancroft
received 215 acres and his brother Nathaniel 163 acres. Later in January
1733/34 there is another entry saying that they received 43 & 33 acres
respectively. There is no proof that these are indeed the sons of Nathaniel
but it seems very likely that that is the case because John is known to have
moved to Westfield. John
married Hannah Bridgeman on 2 May 1716.1 (Hannah
Bridgeman died on 30 Mar 1730 3.) John next
married Kesia Smith on 13 June 1734.2 |
